HI THERE! MY NAME IS,

Raihaana Peera

Practicum Student
Raihaana Peera

I find joy in spending time with my toddler and family, trying new coffee shops, doing creative projects, and exploring thrift stores for small treasures. My happy places are where I feel most grounded and inspired—whether it's in the kitchen making a hearty meal, watching the sunset over the ocean, or sharing meaningful conversations with loved ones. These spaces remind me of the importance of balance, connection, and inner peace, values I strive to bring into my work as a counselor.

How it works

In my work with clients, I use a psychodynamic approach to help them explore how past experiences and early relationships may be influencing their current struggles. Together, we look at patterns in thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that might feel stuck or hard to change. I offer a supportive space where clients can safely reflect on deeper emotions—sometimes ones they haven’t fully put into words before. Through this process, we work toward greater self-awareness and understanding, allowing clients to make more intentional choices, improve relationships, and find relief from feelings like anxiety or depression that may have been building over time.

Raihaana's Therapeutic Modality

I work with individuals (13+), and specialize in the areas of women's issues, life transitions, and immigrant challenges. I help individuals facing depression and anxiety, with a focus on navigating major life changes and transitions. My work includes supporting clients through the unique challenges that come with immigration, helping them adjust to new environments while managing emotional stress. I also have a particular interest in postpartum and perinatal mental health, offering guidance to new and expecting parents as they navigate the emotional and physical shifts that come with pregnancy and early parenthood. My goal is to provide a supportive, culturally sensitive space where clients can build resilience and find balance during times of transition and growth.
