
I should have known I was going to be a therapist at a very young age when, every morning, without fail, I would lie to my parents about my dreams. I’d always start my monologues with something truthful, but would quickly spiral into some fantastical story about things that don’t exist, like me having the ability to fly…or dolphins. Now, when I try to talk to them about my real dreams, they never believe me! It’s embarrassing! I want you to know that if you talk about your dreams in therapy, we’ll find something useful in there, even if you’re just making stuff up on the spot to give me a hard time. Maybe you're telling me stories about dolphins for a reason!
Therapy is a unique experience for everyone, but it always begins with understanding what it’s like to be you and continues though exploring what it’s like to be in relationship with you! In therapy, you are the priority- there’s no “right” or “wrong” way to show up, because I’ll be showing up as a real person too! In session, I will be curious about all the different parts of you, help investigate where they came from, and provide a new perspective for you to work towards your goals.

Therapy is just like writing a story. Some days it might be fun, other days it might be difficult. Some days we’ll work on the major scenes, other days we might spend the entire session breaking down a single conversation. During therapy, you will have the freedom to talk through every aspect of your life, both the real and fantastical, because every memory, thought, feeling, and action has meaning. There will be several drafts, layers, and discussions, but each one will lead you closer to your goals!

I work with couples and individuals ages (+5) and up! I enjoy getting to know people in all walks of life, but specialize in depression, anxiety, personality disorders, dissociative disorders, members of the LGBTQ+ community, identity work, and developing healthy relationships. I am also qualified to utilize different modalities, like art, spirituality, and games, to build a relationship with my clients and better understand their inner world.
